Why do birds avoid flying over the ocean?

Because they read the sign that said, “No swimming allowed,” and they thought it applied to them too. They’re just following the rules like good citizens, hoping not to get a ticket from the sky police for unauthorized aerial maneuvers over water.

I met a clock that was so lazy, it refused to tick. I told it, “If you don’t start working, you’ll never get to see the future!” The clock replied, “Why rush? I’ve already seen all the time I need to see. I’m just enjoying the present.”

I went to buy bread, but the bakery was out. The baker apologized and gave me a stone instead, saying, “This will be your daily bread until we bake more.” I thanked him and thought, “At least I won’t have to worry about it going stale.”

When I learned that Earth is mostly covered by water, I was relieved. It means if I ever mess up and need to hide, I have a high chance of finding a place to swim away from my problems. But then I realized, with all that water, why do we still have droughts? Maybe Earth is just playing hard to get with its resources.
