Why did the broken heart go to the library?

It wanted to check out a book on “How to Mend Things That Are Torn Apart,” but ended up in the thriller section, reading about suspenseful tales of love and betrayal. As it flipped through the pages, it whispered to itself, “At least in these stories, the suspense is thrilling, not just painfully predictable.”

Did you know that the ocean and the sky are in a never-ending staring contest?

One day, the ocean got tired and asked the sky, “Can’t we just call it a draw?” The sky, with a twinkle in its eye, replied, “Not until you stop reflecting my moods so accurately.” They’ve been at it ever since, with the occasional cloud winking at a passing wave.

I once saw a tree so tall, it reached for the moon.

In a moment of sympathy, I offered it a ladder. The tree looked at me and said, “Thanks, but I’m trying to teach my branches the value of ambition, not give them a shortcut to the stars.” I left the ladder anyway, thinking maybe the squirrels could use it for their acorn-hoarding adventures.

Why did the computer go to art school?

It wanted to learn how to draw a better “byte,” but ended up majoring in digital painting because it realized that life is more than just ones and zeros. Now, it spends its days creating masterpieces that make even the most sophisticated algorithms stop and admire.

When I heard that the world was getting smaller, I decided to buy a map that could shrink with it.

But every time I unfolded it, the map just sighed and said, “I’m trying to keep up, but you humans keep expanding your territories and shrinking your minds. Can’t you just pick a size and stick with it?” I folded it back up, promising to find a more adaptable map next time.
